We're having a Family and Friends evening at the end of Term 3 2024. Join us in our regular rehearsal space on Thursday 26th September to hear our latest songs as well as some old favourites! Maybe learn a song or two as well! |
We are back rehearsing at Belrose Primary School on Thursdays at 7pm! We are excited to be planning to perform at Blackheath Choir Festival for the first time! We'll sing a 20 minute set on the Sunday (27th August).

During these different and unusual times, we have taken inspiration from the Pub Choir in the UK and started the Good Vibrations Coronavirus Virtual Choir Series as we can no longer sing together 'in person'. We just completed one of our all time favourites, House of Love (Black Taxi, arr. Fiona Lamb). Fi said 'I'm so impressed by everyone's willingness to put themselves out there and contribute their bit. The finished piece is a wonderful representation of our choir." https://youtu.be/oB7WZ2dDlwY We did do a little practice one with the 'Na Na's' from Hey Jude by The Beatles (arr. Fiona Lamb). Most choir members said it was very daunting the first time, however, with such a supportive community of singers, once everyone's part is put together - it's so motivating and inspiring to see the final piece. And being a very social choir, it's nice for us to connect to each other virtually! https://youtu.be/QnTt32oS7I0 Video editing & production - Rebecca Gibson Copyright - Good Vibrations Choir April 2020

On Sunday 27th October Australia’s premier a cappella gospel choir, Cafe of the Gate of Salvation, teams up with Good Vibrations Choir, the funnest choir on the Northern Beaches for one afternoon! All proceeds go to The Sarah Barlow Bowel Cancer Foundation. One in eleven (9%) of new diagnoses of bowel cancer is in someone under the age of 40. This new foundation will direct all funds to research grants focusing on early diagnosis or management of bowel cancer in young people (not admin costs). This is Good Vibrations only gig with Cafe Of The Gate Of Salvation this year, and it is also their only gig on the Northern Beaches! Please book online to avoid disappointment: Tickets: https://www.trybooking.com/

TERM 4 - newsTerm 4 will be our busiest for 2019! VOICES FOR GOOD Yours in Shenanigans, Fi |
Term 2 has started with a bang! We've had a huge growth in numbers which not only adds to the weekly shenanigans but makes for a great sound at rehearsal every Thursday. Many of our new members joined in Term 1 just in time for our performance at the Northern Beaches Country Music Club, which was a hoot and something we will definitely repeat (once Fi writes some more country arrangements!) This term we are learning a new arrangement of Robbie Williams' Something Beautiful, which we hope to perform before the term comes to an end. See you out there somewhere! |
Term 3 started on Thursday 26 July with our 'Open Night' and we had a few new members check us out! I was chatting to some choir directors in Hobart and we were talking about how if you perform often, each performance is less stressful. And of course, the opposite is true. So with that in mind, we'll hopefully sing at some local venues this term! I have a few in the pipeline already. I'd also really love it if we could start performing at a cappella festivals...watch this space! Hope to see you all soon. |
Good Vibrations is very excited to be in EveryOneBand! Mark Callaghan, lead singer with GANGgajang has written a song for all of Australia to sing! We're adding our voices to the choir and singing "Stand By You" along with thousands of musicians in Australia. EveryOneBand is going to be the biggest band in history – literally. With Australia's top musicians already on board, we'll top the charts and go gold! Join EveryOneBand!
